That means building sourcing relationships, engaging farmers during product development, creating production activity and developing businesses that can expand the economic use of neem over time.

WOMEN & LOCAL SOURCING

Neem trees are already part of the landscape in many communities. Rijona's sourcing model creates a commercial use for the seeds by linking collection to processing and product development.
More than 160 women are currently connected to the company's neem-seed sourcing network. For participants, seed collection can create an additional source of income while providing Rijona with the raw material needed for oil extraction and other neem-based applications.
As production grows, the goal is to strengthen these relationships and create a more organised and reliable local supply chain.
